WATCH: Man’s Dying Wish Is For His Family To Tip A Pizza Girl $500
Alright, guys. Shameless, feel good post of the day coming up. Avert your eyes if you prefer to wallow in your cynicism for awhile longer.
A man named Aaron Collins died an untimely death at the age of 30, and while the details surrounding it on the site constructed in his memory are sketchy, his family remains dedicated to carrying out his final wishes. First, he wanted any debts he owed his parents to be repaid if he had any money in his bank account at the time of his death. (He didn’t.) Then, his will stipulated, he wanted his family to “leave an awesome tip (and I don’t mean 25%. I mean $500 on a f***ing pizza) for a waiter or waitress.”
So, they took donations Aaron was receiving to pay for treatment and did just that. His brother took the fam out to a pizzeria called Puccini’s Smiling Teeth, and dutifully delivered the waitress a $500 cash tip, telling his brother’s story. She promised to share it with the kitchen and pay the gesture forward, tearfully admitting, “You know I’m going to be telling this story for the rest of my life, right?”
Watch the heartwarming video below and maybe throw your roving neighborhood empanada guy a $20 or something this weekend.
