WATCH: Adam Rapoport Nearly Gets Sucked Into Today Kitchen Vent
The problem with having Giada De Laurentiis as your official food correspondent is that she’s hobbit-sized, and The Today Show does occasionally have other cooking segment hosts in its kitchen. For example, when Bon Appetit editor-in-chief Adam Rapoport and his skinny tie and his slim cut suit and his tall, tall frame sauntered on set, he almost mussed his specifically tousled ‘do on the low-hanging safety hazards. Anchor Willie Geist feared he’d be sucked up into the vent Willie Wonka-style.
In any case, all major crises were averted and Adam was able to share ten of Bon Appetit’s 50 pantry must-haves with America. Thankfully, he left the sugar and flour at home and chose instead to educate lonely h’wives across America (wait, that’s who watches Today, right?) on fish sauce, white miso paste, agave syrup, and pomegranate molasses. Okay, that last thing is nonsense, but the rest we support!
