Anne Burrell And Ina Garten Among Four Chefs Tapped For White House Easter Egg Roll
This year, the First Lady plans on hosting up to 35,000 people at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, where children roll the tattooed, calcified wombs of hen fetuses across the South Lawn, while a man dressed as a bunny cheers them on. (Michelle Obama sanctions this barbarism?) And like most years, a celebrity chef — or four! — will take part in the festivities.
According to Obama Foodorama, Anne Burrell and Ina Garten will be cooking at the event, along with 14-year-old wunderkind chef Flynn McGarry, 30-something-year-old hat-wearer Spike Mendelsohn, B. “Too Cool For Jokes” Smith, and Katie “Some Sort Of Blogger Who Happened To Get Invited (we’re not jealous at all)” Chin.
At last year’s Easter Egg Roll, stars like Andrew Zimmern, Paul Qui, Richard Blais, and Marcus Samuelsson made appearances (though LEGO-headed band One Direction apparently did not). So far, the only guest announced this year, apart from the above chefs, is YouTube sensation Kid President. Best Easter Egg Roll ever? We’ll prognosticate a yes.
