Murder Suspect Chris Dorner Bizarrely Name Drops Anthony Bourdain In Cop-Killer ‘Manifesto’

The last thing Anthony Bourdain (let alone anyone) needs in his life is to be tied to a mass shooting, but the culinary commentator was mentioned in the middle of a manifesto posted by Christopher Jordan Dorner, a 33-year-old ex-Los Angeles Police Department officer currently on the run after allegedly killing three people in retaliation for being expelled from the police force and threatening to go on a mass shooting spree.

Dorner, who wrote the rambling, 24-page Facebook manifesto (reposted by Gawker) long after he’d been removed from the LAPD for falsely accusing another officer of kicking a suspect, mentioned Bourdain as one of the people he wanted to say something to before he died, along with Hillary Clinton, Larry David, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeffrey Toobin, Christoph Waltz, Joe Biden, and maybe about two hundred other celebrities, politicians, and media figures. (As Gawker noted, the manifesto is “rambling… alternately terrifying and bizarre.”)

“Anthony Bourdain,” Dorner wrote, after telling the world that he planned on killing as many people as possible, “you’re a modern renaissance man who epitomizes the saying ‘too cool for school.’”
