We know that Labor Day weekend is supposed to be a time where you don’t, well, labor. (The entirety of our office building has disappeared to the Hamptons, we swear.) But with plenty of time to lounge outside and soak in the last few days of summer, you’ll want to show off your grilling skills with these burgers , since it’s the last time you’ll be able to barbecue until the weather warms up again next year. Oh, and careful if you’re wearing white, because Labor Day and all.

This one from Spike Mendelsohn's restaurant Good Stuff Eatery features bacon and bleu cheese. And as for GOP candidate Mitt Romney? "The Romney Burger would be fried cod, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, Creole mayo, and roasted red peppers," Mendelsohn told Washingtonian. The burger is "an ode to Massachusetts, and specifically Cape Cod. The roasted peppers and Creole mayo compliment the cod--a nod to the great seafood from Massachusetts."
