Cat Cora To Design Her Own Collection Of Chef-Focused Footwear

Cat Cora is following in the well-shod footsteps of Marcus Samuelsson and Chris Cosentino by designing a line of kitchen-ready footwear.
Though Cora announced the news via her Twitter almost two weeks ago, today she hit the sartorial big leagues when her shoe collaboration with Mozo was written up in Women’s Wear Daily, the fashion industry’s trade publication of choice. Cora is working on her won Chef Signature Series collection for the brand, which she says will be designed with both professional and at-home cooks in mind.
“[Moms] spend a tremendous amount of time on their feet cooking,” she told WWD. “[Now] they can walk out of the house to the grocery store and feel they’re wearing a good-looking shoe that’s stylish and comfortable. It’s about lifestyle.”
