Chefs and athletes are not usually considered synonymous. After all, athletes use food for fuel, focusing on only the healthiest, leanest, foods that their bodies can use to an advantage. Chefs, on the other hand, are considered in terms of indulgence: extravagant, butter-loving, and often prone to more than a few bad vices. There is, however, a small group of chefs who began their careers are competitive athletes. Many dreamed of going pro; some actually did. Check out five of our favorite chefs-slashies below.
