Alright, so Taste of Chicago is probably going to suck this year, unless this Mazda6 Chef du Jour thing takes off, which we’re dubious about. We’re mentally prepared for that. And we don’t see GoogaMooga Chicago going particularly well, but it’s gotta fare better than the Brooklyn versions, right? So that means the only shining beacon of hope on the Chicago summer food festival scene isn’t really at a food festival at all.
Once again, it’s Graham Elliot to the rescue, curating the food vendors that will make up this year’s ChowTown — AKA Lollapalooza’s grub hub. This year, he brought in presumable best bro and Top Chef Masters contestant Tony Mantuano to headline with bites from Bar Toma. Elliot will also be providing fare from his own spot Grahamwich.
