UPDATE: Chris Cosentino Responds To Our Post About His Anti-TV Stance
When an interview Zagat conducted with Chris Cosentino went online yesterday, we wondered aloud whether his participation on Top Chef Masters contradicted the firm anti-TV stance he held in the interview. Last night, Cosentino responded via Twitter that it didn’t. “Yes there is a huge difference I am cooking for a charity that I believe in!!” he wrote. “Cooking to raise money for a good cause.”
We’ll give you that, Chris. The Michael J Fox Foundation does good work in promoting awareness of Parkinson’s Disease and funding research for a cure. At the same time, would he have done a far more humiliating show on a certain food-related channel if it were also for charity? In any case, now we feel like Larry David in this all-too-appropriate clip from Curb Your Enthusiasm:
