Justice Served: Chef Who Stewed Wife’s Remains Sentenced To 15 Years To Life In Prison
Remember California chef David Viens, who was suspected of murdering his wife, who then jumped off a cliff to avoid arrest, who was then formally charged with the crime after confessing to boiling her remains for four days, who then dumped his lawyer and chose to represent himself, who was then found guilty?
After a 40-minute speech to the judge in a sentencing hearing yesterday, in which Viens recanted his confession, saying, “I loved my wife. I didn’t cook my wife,” he was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison for the crime.
