Duff Goldman Makes Fire Hydrant Cake For ‘The Artist’s’ Uggie The Dog
The cutest widdle skateboarding Jack Russell to ever appear in an Oscar-winning film, Uggie the Dog, announced (via his owner Omar Van Muller) his retirement back in February due to an unknown doggy illness. But because Uggie’s storied career culminated in Achievements Of Extraordinary Cuteness in his scene-stealing turn in The Artist, he was honored today with a paw-print ceremony in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.
Fittingly, Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes brought this cake in the shape of a fire hydrant. The photo comes courtesy of Travel PR, but on the Robert Pattinson News Feed (of all places), you can find more pictures of Uggie next to his cake, Uggie next to his cement pawprints, and Uggie being all adorably shy.
What’s that? You want to see a video of Uggie being adorable so you can fully understand the extent of Hollywood’s tragic loss? Oh, who are we to refuse? Here he is with Van Muller on Ellen. Awwwwww, wookit dis kyooot daaawg. HE SHO KYOOT, with his widdle tricks and his pwecious widdle shy face and his skateboard and Ellen DeGeneres. Whooj a cute dog? You are, oh yesh you are.
