Okay, admittedly we once had a really bad experience with an amateurish pop-up dinner that has colored our view of them, probably for the rest of time. But tonight’s Eat, Drink, Love totally proves why they’re terrible in general with hard evidence, and not just feelings. They are massively tricky to pull off, almost always performed under a time crunch, and unspeakably difficult to manage if you aren’t used to working in a restaurant full-time.
