WATCH: Before Ed Lee Became A Chef, He Was In The Circus
Top Chef: Texas almost-semi-finalist Edward Lee appeared on The Talk this afternoon to show off his unique culinary snowflake: Asian-Southern fusion. What we weren’t expecting was all the other reveals.
Most importantly, he called the appearance the pinnacle of his career. Uh, personally, we feel like winning fan favorite of our hearts should count as the pinnacle of his career. (Ok, ok — “Pretty Boy Chris” Crary technically won Top Chef: Texas Fan Favorite, but Ed Lee is the favorite in our hearts.)
He also admitted it was “weird” to move to Louisville, KY as a Korean-American raised in Brooklyn, but chalked it up to bourbon, horses, pretty girls in gowns, and bourbon. Before that, though, he ran away to join the circus.
Best part: his flower apron. You have to watch closely. But it’s worth it.
