Embezzler Stole Masa Sushi Money To Pay For Internet Porn Addiction, Gets Year In Prison

With the news that Rafael Thomas, the former bookkeeper for the famed sushi restaurant Masa, pled guilty for embezzling over $100,000 of the restaurant’s funds over the course of a year, we feel like something’s died within our souls. This is not just because we believe stealing is bad (don’t do it, kids, and also don’t do the drugs), it’s also because we just learned what Thomas used the funds for: fueling his internet porn addiction.

The New York Post, the finest porn reporters in the businesses, revealed that Thomas siphoned enough money off Masa’s books to pay for overtime vacation — but then spent over $52,000 on “live Internet adult entertainment,” according to an assistant district attorney. According to Gizmodo, some of the best-paid internet adult entertainers haul in $300 a day — which means that Thomas likely spent more than half a year skinning his unagi with Masa funds. GROSS.

Thomas was sentenced to a year in prison for falsifying business records and attempted grand larceny, though he should have been sentenced for stealing money, earned from making the most divine sushi known to man, on internet strippers…while having that creepy face. Ew ew ew ew ew.
