WATCH: Working At Magnus Nilsson’s Fäviken Is Basically Taking A Vow Of Solitude
It’s one thing to expect adventuresome diners to trek into the Swedish Great White North to visit Magnus Nilsson’s Fäviken, nestled in Järpen, about 400 miles north of Stockholm. It’s an entirely different thing for the restaurant’s staff who, from the looks of the video below, are basically agreeing to take a vow of solitude just by working there.
Don’t get us wrong; we’re sure valuable lessons are learned foraging in Scandinavia, and that the thickly snow-blanketed surroundings are probably quite peaceful for the first six months of winter. After that, it’s anybody’s guess as to how long it takes for line cooks to lose their minds.
On the bright side, we bet this kitchen is especially romantically incestuous.
