Tonight, on Food Network Star, Bobby Flay flatters this week’s challenge by introducing it as “one of America’s most familiar dining experiences.” The cringes of his team, made up of restaurant chefs, reflect the true horror of the culinary arena into which they are about to enter: the food court. Bring on the droves of crappy Chinese food-consuming Middle Americans. Mmm, tastes like suburbia.
Oh, and also Geoffrey Zakarian shows up. The Next Iron Chef winner’s role this week is left deliberately vague in the preview clip, because apparently he’s the harbinger of some sort of twist hidden beneath a plate dome. Dun dun dun.
