Lame sex food puns endured in the world of morning news show cooking segments this morning, when Giada De Laurentiis showed up with sausage and manicotti on Today. Manicotti already boast an oh-so-phallic form, so, naturally, she and Al Roker had a grand time filling them with a sausage and pea mixture they had just prepared.
“So you basically just stuff it,” Giada explained while the camera crew giggled. (So mature, those Today Show camera ops!)
“My director told me that this morning!” Al joked. Because, you know. Always Al with the jokes.
As far as we’re concerned, though, he earned all the bad jokes he wants for this clip, because, while they were mixing the filling, Giada had Al making a basic fonduta, and he remarked, “So it’s kinda like an Italian bechamel?”
