Gordon Ramsay’s Plane Food Named #3 Best Airport Restaurant In The World
Hot on the heels of the official opening (but just before this weekend’s grand opening) of Gordon Ramsay Steak in Las Vegas, one of the British chef’s other tourist eateries has been named the #3 best airport restaurant in the world by USA Today.
Plane Food, located in Terminal 5 of London’s Heathrow Airport, boasts such menu items as pumpkin soup and Suffolk pork belly, all available in neat little two or three course meal options, complete with a timestamp of 25 or 35 minutes service time to ensure you catch your flight. A far cry from the dreaded 6am offerings of Todd English’s Figs in airports across America, no? Granted, the haute spot is Ramsay’s only airport restaurant, so we’re sure it gets a bit more attention than the pre-made offerings you can grab on the go from Wolfgang Puck’s numerable Express locations. But the accolade holds up, nonetheless, for those of you lucky enough to pass through on enough red eye flights.
