If you Didn’t Already Want to Be Aziz Ansari, You Will Now

When I picture myself living my best life, I am Aziz Ansari. The guy spent seven seasons working with possibly the greatest cast to ever be assembled in the history of television, he quite literally wrote the book on Modern Romance that has since become my bible, and have you even seen his Instagram? The people he hangs out with defines #squadgoals. He went to the Benihana in Tyrese’s house, which is a thing that exists. And now, he’s had a private wine and food lesson with one Mario Batali in a video Vice Munchies is calling ‘Master of Lunch.’

The whole thing is awesome, start to finish. Batali teaches us incredibly important cooking lessons, like the importance of last-minute seasoning (this should happen about one minute after you pull your food off the stove, and how it turns a ’94’ dish into a ’99’ dish). He shows us that drinking heavily at 9:00am is completely fine if it’s in the name of cooking and learning, and also, that you should never put a firm topping inside your ravioli, which is dream-crushing but also definitely true. Perhaps most importantly, he correctly pronounces mascarpone. Everyone I know, take note on that last one. Note the location of the ‘r.’
