In Most Un-Shocking News Ever, Parts Unknown Wins Another Emmy

Can Anthony Bourdain and Parts Unknown team do any wrong? According to the Emmy voters, nope.

Parts Unknown won a Creative Emmy this weekend in the category of “Outstanding Informational Series or Special.” It was the second time Parts Unknown has won in the category, but the show tied this year with VICE for the award.

Parts Unknown was nominated for a whopping five Emmys this year; the other show Bourdain has worked on, HBO’s Treme, was also nominated for four Emmys. Last year’s win of the “Outstanding Cinematography For Nonfiction Programming” and “Outstanding Informational Series or Special” categories was the first time that CNN had won a primetime Emmy. So Bourdain, and Roy Choi, should keep CNN happy for a very long time to come.

Sadly, Bourdain lost to Jane Lynch for “Outstanding Host of a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.” But he was nominated for The Taste, so … you know. Still, Bourdain seemed pretty happy with his award.
