Rock The Vote: 2013 James Beard Nomination Deadline Is Approaching!
Did you know that you’re allowed to submit James Beard Award nominations? Yes, you, sitting on your couch binging on Iron Chef: America episodes on a Saturday morning. You’re qualified to nominate James Beard recipients! But the deadline is fast approaching.
Voting closes at 11:59pm on December 31st, just in time to ring in the New Year. But since you’ll probably be bombed by then, you should get your votes in now. According to the James Beard Foundation:
“Participating in the James Beard Foundation Awards process has never been easier. Tell us your name, e-mail address, and state of residence, then submit your suggestions for nominees in up to 19 categories, ranging from Best New Restaurant to Rising Star Chef of the Year.”
And it really is that easy! A quick online form is all that stands between you and you ballot. Membership in the foundation not necessary. Food enthusiasts are a democratic people.
