Jamie Deen Reportedly Dropped by Food Network; He’s Gonna Go Work for His Mom Anyway
It’s not as earth-shattering as the Paula Deen Racism Scandal, but nearly a year after that all went down, her son Jamie Deen lost his contract with the Food Network.
Page Six reported last night that the channel would not renew his show, “Home for Dinner with Jamie Deen,” which they’ve aired for two seasons. However, they didn’t know whether it was due to low ratings (which, really, is probable), or due to the fact that he plans on joining his mother on “a namesake streaming network that will launch later this year and feature [Paula's] own show along with content featuring her son.”
Soft landing? Yeah. But what’s more important here is that it’s been nearly a full year since the Paula Deen scandal broke. Goodness, has it been an entire year? How strange.
