Jamie Oliver’s Magazine Coming To The United States
As if to reward us for keeping Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign alive and kicking this week, Jamie Oliver announced today that Jamie Magazine would soon launch Stateside. That sound you hear is Carla Hall squealing with delight.
The four-year-old British magazine will make its US debut as early as next week, just in time for some holiday we can’t quite recall because we’re too busy being inundated with Christmas ads. Wasn’t there something between Pumpkin Spice Latte Season and Holiday Cup Season?
The publisher admitted that there will be an effort “to North Americanize Jamie Magazine, [while] still leaving in that wonderful British flair that makes it Jamie.” So: burger recipes and features from American chefs.
Jamie Magazine publishers hope to push 300,000 copies across the country by the end of the year in preparation for early 2013 distribution, but a special holiday issue will be available November 16th on iPad.
