Jamie Oliver Opens First Restaurant In Ireland

The Naked Chef has been running all over creation promoting Food Revolution Day (which coincided with last weekend’s Great GoogaMooga…foie gras doughnuts = revolution, right?), all while expanding his chain to its first Ireland location. A branch of Jamie’s Italian is set to open in Dublin this fall, with a preview sampling at the Taste of Dublin this summer.
Residents of The Emerald Isle are all stoked about it because the opening created 75 new jobs at the suburban mall in which the resto took up shop. If we were locals and a British chef was opening an Italian restaurant in Ireland, we’d only be excited about the job openings, too. We shudder to think what comes out of that kitchen. (Love you, Jamie! Congrats!)
