Rumor Mill: Is Jean-Georges Opening An ABC Kitchen in LA?
NYC’s Permanent Runner-Up chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (damn that swarthy Eric Ripert and his 4-star record) is rumored to be shopping cities for a second location of his casual NYC eatery ABC Kitchen. Still praised as a branch of the JGV franchise that has maintained its quality over the years (ahem, Spice Market), ABC Kitchen remains popular on the New York foodie scene as a small plates hangout.
According to sources in both New York and Los Angeles, the City of Angels is the scouted location of choice for the second resto. No word yet on where in LA Vongerichten is looking to open up shop, but we’ll keep you posted if and when the announcement goes out. Stay tuned!
