Jose Andres Takes Ferran Adria To DC Ramen Restaurant
Toki Underground is one of the best ramen joints in Washington DC, notably because its chef, Erik Bruner-Yang, does crazy things like making tonkotsu broth out of pigs’ feet and peaches — and it works. Obviously, crazy chefs attract crazy chefs, which is why this happened:

Yes, the two Spanish molecular gastronomy gods and the Peruvian evangelist, all in town for the premiere of the food documentary Perú Sabe, were both sitting at Bruner-Yang’s counter, which is enough to make a young chef’s insides shrivel and harden like a packet of instant ramen.
Bruner-Yang later told Eater DC that they “dined on the usual customer favorites — namely, ramen and dumplings —plus a few specials from the kitchen.”
