After Martha Stewart took the stand on Tuesday and delivered an hours-long defense on why she should be able to sell her products at both Macy’s and JCPenny stores, in spite of an exclusive deal with Macy’s, a judge ordered mediation for all three parties to resolve the conflict.
Legalese translation: quit suing each other over petty nonsense. Might we suggest this court-ordered friendly mediation go down over scah-llops and sauv blanc at Martha’s farmhouse in Westchester? Bonus: the peeved parties will probably all get thoughtful, homemade favors from the domestic diva herself.
