Need Julia Child For Whenever You’re On The Road? There’s An App For That
There are people who love taking their kitchen tools with them when they travel: knives, twine, kosher salt, maybe this martini kit. But god forbid that you carry both volumes of Julia Child’s seminal Mastering the Art of French Cooking with you in your carry-on. (That takes up valuable spatula space!)
You’ll be pleased to learn, then, that in honor of Julia Child’s 100th birthday, Knopf and Co. are releasing an app containing 32 recipes from her cookbook! The app includes color photographs of her recipes (because come on, hi-def), grocery lists, videos from her show, and audio commentary from her editor Judith Jones. Also, it’s only $2.99. Also, it’s on the iPad, Nook and Kindle. Also, Boeuf bourguignon everywhere.
Now what this app needs is something like I Am T-Pain that will transform your voice into her voice. That would be bomb.
