Justin Warner’s Food Network Show Rebel Eats Gets A Premiere Date

He said he’d sniff out a primetime spot, and Food Network Star Season 8 winner Justin Warner has followed through on that promise. His new show Rebel Eats will premiere on Saturday, March 30th at 10pm.

The premise of the show, according to a press release from Food Network is as follows:

“Armed with $300 in his pocket, a beat up car and a passion for unconventional food and eccentric people, Justin travels the back roads of the South to try everything from moonshine and bacon beer to BBQ in a jar and jelly fish pasta. Along the way, Justin meets the cooks and proprietors who, like him, march to their own beat through the world of food.”

Justin and his Food Network Star mentor Alton Brown have been teasing a primetime road show since last fall under the working title Justin’s Excellent Adventure, and, while Alton won’t technically be producing Rebel Eats, he still seems to be pretty involved with the project.

Program your DVRs now, kids. This is going to be a good one. Just look at that photo of him dangling a shrimp from his nose. Need we say more to convince you?

  1. This is all well and good but he only managed to sniff out a one hour spot. This is a special, not the first episode of a series. I can’t set my DVR to record it as a series.
