Marcus Samuelsson Spends Cinco De Mayo With His Style Icon Justin Timberlake
Late last week, Marcus Samuelsson told us that he was going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, the holiday commemorating the Mexican victory in the Battle of Puebla over the French (or, as Americans like to call it, Tequila Day), by throwing a party with his friends, merengue music, and absolutely no Justin Timberlake.
So the moment we saw this photo of Samuelsson and his wife Maya Haile hit the red carpet at Timberlake’s MasterCard Priceless Premieres Concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, we were all “…oh.”
On the one hand, we appreciate all forms of sexy being back. In fact, Samuelsson and Timberlake practically dress the same, right down to the tiny hats-vests-pants combinations. Especially those hats. (But while Timberlake is the style icon, Marcus gets to claim pulling it off first. We remember ‘N SYNC, Justin.)
In the end, Samuelsson wins this round for looking great and taking his wife on an awesome date last night. We’ll just have to find it in our hearts to forgive him for the blatant lies.
