Marcus Samuelsson Cleverly Puts Yes, Chef On The Menu
Zagat got this photo of Marcus Samuelsson’s latest menu at his Harlem restaurant Red Rooster, which shows some pretty ingenious cross-promotion. For $60, not only can you get a delicious four-course dinner, you’ll also receive a signed copy of his new memoir Yes, Chef.
While we doubt that this is some sort of desperate attempt to keep Yes, Chef at the top of bestsellers lists (the memoir is still in the top ten of food-related books sold on Amazon), it’s clear that Samuelsson’s been going through his global brand and promoting synergy — like a boss. Still, at least people also get dinner out of it! It’s better than running a promotion where you send one copy of your book to the troops in Afghanistan for every copy purchased.
