Michael Mina Teams Up With Vanessa Carlton Michelle Branch On Food Site
Renowned chef Michael Mina can add one more business to his large, cross-country culinary empire. Today, he’s launched a “first-of-its-kind” website called Cook Taste Eat, where the Michelin-starred chef will not only send out daily emails containing recipes from himself and other celebrated chefs, but also host a video series where he cooks with our favorite early 2000′s singer-songwriter, Michelle Branch.
Mina and Branch will cook together in videos, according to a press release, and they’ll also give viewers some of the secret tricks and tips that the pros use in their kitchens, with the “Thousand Miles” songwriter pitching viewers’ questions for Mina to answer. A new video will appear in subscribers’ inboxes every day, and on occasion, celebrity chefs like Charles Phan and Michael Chiarello will drop in to cook alongside Mina and Vanessa Carlton.
All indications point to a strong start for the site, which hopes to educate and inspire food lovers in the arts of balancing flavors: in this first video, Mina and Vanessa make a seared sesame-crusted ahi tuna. Each day, they’ll present a new component of the dish, and by the end of the week, you’ll be able to execute the dish on your own. Who knew that was Vanessa Carlton Michelle Branch was such a big foodie? We thought she’d be collaborating with Santana now, or, we dunno, whatever it is that white girls who played guitar in the early 2000′s do nowadays. (Even we have trouble telling them apart.)
