Mitt And Ann Romney Ate Boston Market Takeout For Thanksgiving
There’s something sort of shocking about watching presidential runner-up Mitt Romney shamble around La Jolla, Ca., like a real, vintage human being (and apparently we’re not the only ones thinking this). The Washington Post, however, got their hands on some of the Romneys’ best anonymous friends, and learned that, among other depressing things, the family couldn’t even be bothered to cook Thanksgiving dinner.
“One friend said they ordered their turkey dinner from Boston Market,” the Post wrote as an aside, ”because there were too many kids running around the house to bother with cooking a feast.”
Isn’t this what catering is for? Or is Mitt just discovering what the rest of America has known for decades: that takeout from Boston Market is wonderful food for all those times when you’ve just stopped caring. Also, here is the ‘Happy Thanksgiving’ photo the Romneys posted to Facebook. How very semi-homemade.
