Grant Achatz Reveals Next’s January 2013 Menu Theme
The ladymoose in that photo is probably not excited about Grant Achatz and Dave Beran’s latest menu theme at Next. It was announced on Wednesday that, following their current “Kyoto” menu, the pair will debut one called “The Hunt,” which hopefully doesn’t involve bizarre noir trailers of cuddly cow moose being slaughtered. Shudder.
“The Hunt” kicks off in January, and it’s obviously game-centric, but because Grant Achatz is a man of balance, “The Hunt” will be followed by an all-vegan menu in the spring. All clear, Easter bunnies.
Also starting in the spring, Next will stay open seven days a week, with The Aviary and Alinea expected to follow sometime after.
