Padma Lakshmi Narrowly Avoids Brawl In Brutal Knicks-Bulls Game
While Chris Brown and Rihanna were busy being terrible at the Lakers-Knicks game together on Christmas, Padma Lakshmi found herself in the middle of a Knicks-Bulls brawl just a few days earlier.
At one point during the rough game, Knick guard Jason Kidd almost took Padma out while diving into the crowd for a loose ball. But, according to the New York Post, “he made sure everyone was OK and apologized.” Tyson Chandler and Joakim Noah wouldn’t be such gentlemen.
In the last five minutes of the game, with the Bulls leading, the pair got into it courtside and were both ejected from the game. “They were pushing and shoving and came very close to Padma,” said a witness. “She jumped out of her seat in fear and moved out of the way.”
After they cleared out, following ejected Knicks Coach Mike Woodson, Padma reportedly enjoyed the rest of her game with her gentleman companion without incident, probably splurging for ice cream on the way home to cope with her frustrating loss.
