Paul Qui Confirms Plans For His Own Austin Restaurant
Paul Qui is currently in New York doing a week-long pop up restaurant at City Grit, but we’re a little bit more interested in what he’s planning back in Austin. That’s right, Texans: he’s getting ready to open his very own restaurant.
Paul revealed that he recently signed the lease on a space in the South Lamar neighborhood, where he will serve “Asian-esque” food. It will be made up of two imitate spaces with the same kitchen: a dining room that seats 50, and a 12-seat bar which will have a tasting menu. However, Paul doesn’t have much of a concept nailed down, as his recent travelling has provided him with a lot of inspiration to draw from.
Of course, because everything is still so up in the air, not even Paul knows any more than that. In the meantime, you can hit up Uchi or one of his famous food trucks.
