Rapper 2 Chainz is Opening a Restaurant in Atlanta

Following in the footsteps of P. Diddy and TI, rapper 2 Chainz is set to open a restaurant in Atlanta. He announced his plans in an Instagram post over the weekend:

This is actually the rapper’s second move into the food world. When he released his second album B.O.A.T.S. 2, he also came out with a 26-page digital cookbook called #MEALTIME. Recipes included a Golden Flaked Yams Benedict which was described like this:

A swagged-out take on the classic Eggs Benedict dish, in which slices of smoked salmon and canadian bacon are swapped with gold leaf-covered rare yams and low-fat turkey bacon.

So, his restaurant is probably going to be pretty much equally epic. It’s called Escobar Lounge and will be located in Castleberry Hill. As of now, it’s set to open in November. The lounge is a joint venture with Mychel “Snoop” Dillard who also owns The Hookah Hideaway.

A spokesperson for the company told What Now Atlanta last week, “We want [Escobar Lounge] to be one of the top spots for the upscale and celebrity crowd in the city.”

Cheers to that.
