Arrested MasterChef Finalist Josh Marks Dropped By Sponsors
Poor Josh Marks. No, really, we do feel for him, especially in the wake of news that two of his biggest sponsors have dropped the MasterChef runner-up, openly and rapidly attempting to disassociate with him.
TMZ reports that upon learning that Marks had attacked a police officer while claiming that he was possessed by Gordon Ramsay, the Make A Sound Project has dropped Marks as an official spokesperson “effective immediately.” What’s more, the organization is dedicated to helping people with depression, which makes this move extra cold. “We appreciate what Josh has done for us but we’re in the market of helping people. So, we’ll keep him in our prayers,” a rep says. “But as of now Chef Marks will be dropped as a spokesman.”
NYC cooking competition Culinary Fight Night, which Marks was slated to judge, was harsher about it: “We won’t have this man tarnish the integrity of our brand.” Okay, that’s even colder.
Marks is currently being evaluated for possible psychiatric illness at a Chicago hospital.
