If you’re still feeling anxious about the impending chicken wing shortage and have no idea how you’ll ever feed your very hungry, pigskin-rabid guests during this weekend’s Super Bowl, don’t worry — we’ve teamed up with our bros at SportsGrid to highlight the best takeout joints in some of our favorite cities across this fine, football-loving country. We believe that Game Day doesn’t justhave to be about those wings, or Costco-sized bags of Doritos. (We do, however, still recommend getting lots of your favorite beer.)

1.Portland, OR

Ate-Oh-Ate: Three words: Korean chicken wings. Four more words: Six dollars per person. A few more words: Hawaiian roast pig, kalbi-style ribs, kimchi -- basically, it's a Korean-style meat festival. And what is the Super Bowl if not a celebration of brawn? Exactly.
Honorable mentions: Voodoo Doughnut, Kenny and Zuke's Delicatassen, Taste Unique

2.Nashville, TN

Back Alley Diner: This legendary burger-slinging diner, whose chefs have a surprisingly pedigreed background, will delivers wings, mozzarella sticks, and moonshine-soaked cherries to parties of ten or more. Um, there are more than ten people in our NYC office. Will you deliver us some moonshine cherries?
Honorable mentions: Satay Thai Grill, The Picnic Cafe, The Dog of Nashville

3.Chicago, IL

Little Goat Diner: Open for its very first Superbowl, Stephanie Izard's Little Goat Diner is our obvious choice for gameday takeout in Chicago (even if it might not be yours; hear us out). The menu has an entire category devoted to "Tater Town." Still not sold? How about BBQ pork nachos, crab dip served with Ritz Crackers, a host of fried things, and a completely mouthwatering "sammich" list? It might not be your first pick, but just because it doesn't leave your fingers permanently stained orange for the night doesn't mean it's not totally party-worthy. Trust us on this one.
Honorable Mentions:
Badhappy Poutine Shop: They may not have football in Canada, but they do have the world's best-conceived french fry accessories. Get a taste (dolled up with foie gras, perhaps?) south of the border in Chicago. Kuma's Corner: Is it an obnoxious heavy metal themed restaurant on the inside? It is. Does it also serve what most declare to be Chicago's best burgers? It does. So get the best of both worlds; order a bunch to-go and enjoy them in the peaceful quiet of your home, where neanderthals are screaming at the TV. Mmm, beef. Hot Doug's: Duck fat fries and hot dogs so glamorous, they're named after celebrities. Get in line early. Enjoy.

4.Cleveland, OH

Melt Bar & Grilled: Gut-bustingly naughty grilled cheese and it was featured on Man vs. Food? Well, frankly, that's all we need to know about Cleveland's Melt Bar & Grilled. If you feel like taking on The Melt Challenge, a la Adam Richman, we're sure they'll wrap it up to go if you ask nicely. It features 13 different cheeses, 3 slices of grilled bread and a pile of hand-cut fries & slaw.
Honorable Mentions:
B-Spot: Cleveland's burger option of choice is obviously Michael Symon's B-Spot. Pat LaFrieda's custom beef blend, baby. Market at the Fig: You know what doesn't get enough play at Superbowl parties? A saltyfattysweet charcuterie plate for everyone to pick at between mouth-on-fire buffalo wing binges. Pick one up at Market at the Fig along with some artisanal cheese and craft beer, for your high-brow guests.

5.Austin, TX

Paco's Tacos: This Tex-Mex taqueria will deliver on orders over $20, which is enough for a party considering how cheap it is. (A friend recommends buying your own chips, then buying a bowl of their queso for the party.) Highlights include the carnitas (best with honey habanero sauce), and all-day delivery of breakfast tacos.
Honorable Mentions: Fricano's Deli, East Side Pies

6.New York City, NY

Located all over the city, Atomic Wings will give you the spiciest-spicy-hot-spicy wingasm. Flavors include mild, medium, hot, abusive, nuclear, suicidal, barbecue honey mustard, jerk barbecue, sweet & tangy, garlic parmesan, teriyaki, chipotle barbecue and thai chilli. And there's boneless too, for those of you who choose not to battle-feast on animal bones. You can also bathe yourself in wing sauce with platters of up to 100 wings - or, order a few of those, if you're so wing-inclined. Not to mention the other Football-Beer-Food Party staples as well, the nachos and burgers and mac 'n cheese and tiny and wonderful and cutely delicious atomic shrimp popcorn. Locations throughout the five boroughs will also ease the hassle of ordering because you won't have to wait for hours. But in case you're particularly wing-nervous, you can schedule deliveries for later, too. Honorable mention: Hill Country

7.Los Angeles, CA

The Park's Finest: What's better than some barbecue and some Super Bowl? 'Cause Jim's gonna barbecue John on Saturday night; right, Californians? (Or the other way around, for all of you Californian Niner-haters!) Well, The Park's Finest may indeed be The Park's Finest Barbecue. Not too expensive, all too delicious. The coconut beef is a popular, unique choice, but if that's too fancypants for your barbaric football watching, they've got the classics — ribs, chicken, hot links — whatever your inner Harbaugh desires. Honorable mentions: Larchmont Grill, All' Angolo, Skaf's.

8.Baltimore, MD

The Corned Beef Factory Baltimore, you are the envy of the entire non-San-Franciscan nation. You're football team has proven superior. But this is the NFL, you need to cherish every Super Bowl appearance, because you never know when the next will come. Eat your hearts out. Baltimore may not be New York, but there's no shame in eating like your in New York. You can enjoy the best of both cities: delicious, New York style food in your mouth, and decidedly un-New-York-style football on the field. Good luck, and if things go sour, at least you went down honorably, full and satisfied. Honorable mentions: Hungry Andy's, Greek Town Grill.

9.New Orleans, LA

Verti Marte : If you're thinking delivery, you might want to get an early start (consensus is they'll take a while to get your order to you, and that's when the Super Bowl isn't in town), but the other consensus is this: the food here is damn good. As with a good Italian place, it's hard to go wrong with a place that makes good sandwiches, and Verti Marte more than comes through on that front. That photo you see? That's the Royal Feast, consisting of "Cheese caped grilled and stacked roast beef, turkey & ham complimented with hot pepper cheese, black olives, grilled onions and our original "wow sauce." Uh... wow is right. See more of the menu here. We dare you not to salivate. Oh, and the joint's beyond-awful website wins points for charm. Honorable mentions: Quartermaster Store, Cafe Roma

10.San Francisco, CA

Tricolore Caffe : Normal business hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., but if you've got a huge party planned - and let's face it, the Niners are in the Super Bowl, so you do - good news: they cater (outside of normal business hours, which you'll need, of course), the price is right, and the food is good. Especially well-liked are the salad and panini choices, though if you're more of a pizza person, they do that, too - and really, that photo you see at left (from their website) looks pretty good to us. If you're looking for something for a large group with wide appeal, a good Italian place like this is always one of your best bets. Honorable mentions: The Original Front Room, MunchBoxx
