Paula Deen’s Agent Gets Fired Again

Paula Deen’s team-firing spree is apparently bleeding out to her other Food Network compatriots, too. She fired her longtime agent Barry Weiner a week ago, post-Giant Racism Scandal That Was Completely Mismanaged On All Fronts, and, according to a cached version of the Artists Agency website vs the current version, it looks like The Neelys and the Deen Brothers, who were repped by the same literary and talent agency, have also dropped them.

The cached version of the site lists among its clientele: Mike Isabella, Paula Deen, The Deen Brothers, Carla Hall, and Pat and Gina Neely. None of them are listed on the current website.

The Neelys and Paula Deen shared a producer on Food Network, and they recently came under fire from Deen supporters for not having come to her defense after the scandal erupted. Some speculated it was the reason behind them closing their Memphis barbecue restaurant indefinitely.

In any case, Barry Weiner appears to be running dangerously low on clients. This might be the time start hustling, future Food Network Stars.
