Tonight In Food TV: A Top Chef Masters Winner Is Crowned
Tonight’s the night kids: a Top Chef Masters Season 4 winner will be crowned. So, who will join Floyd Cardoz, Marcus Samuelsson, and Rick Bayless in the Top Chef Masters pantheon of winners? Will it be offal’s sweetheart Chris Cosentino, fresh off his Time Machine Chefs win? (Yes, we will continue to bring that up until the end of time. We’re bad at letting stuff go.) Or will it be the more careful, reserved Kerry Heffernan?
Tonight’s Elimination Challenge requires the final two chefs to compose a four course meal in conjunction with four letters they must write. The first is a love letter; the second, an apology letter; the third, a thank you note; and the fourth is a letter to themselves. Chris gutsily serves up beef hearts for his love letter course, because what else would he do? He then follows it up with an uni and scallop dish for his apology. (Um, why doesn’t anyone ever apologize to us with sea urchin? We feel as if we’d be altogether more forgiving people if this was the case.)
