Treme Gets A Season 3 Premiere Date!
Peabody Award-winning HBO series Treme has finally gotten a Season 3 premiere date, after being pushed back from from its originally-slated Spring 2012 kickoff. The gang officially returns September 23rd, with Boardwalk Empire as its lead-in, for a ten-episode run on HBO. Anthony Bourdain has signed on yet again as a writer for Chef Janette Desautel’s storyline.
From the creators of The Wire, Treme takes a mostly musical, but occasionally chef-centric look at the titular New Orleans neighborhood in the post-Katrina rebuilding process. When we last left our hero Janette (played by Kim Dickens AKA Mama Saracen of Friday Night Lights’ fame), she had just left the service of David Chang to manage a new restaurant in her hometown of NOLA. Oh, did we mention real celeb chef cameos, from the likes of David Chang, Eric Ripert, Tom Colicchio, and Wylie Dufresne? Because those happen.
Behold the perks of signing Anthony Bourdain as a head writer: famous chef friends follow!
