You know how the cover of Tyler Florence Fresh is a photo of him with an adorable baby chick perched (photoshopped?) on his shoulder? You know, the one that sparked cover contests resulting in this image, permanently seared into our memory? As it turns out, that was not a photoshopped chick, but a real one, and Ty-Flo’s kids fell so in love with it that he wound up adopting it and a bunch of other chickens who now live in a chicken coop at the Florence home.
He told the whole story (or, at least, he tried to) on Good Morning America today, before Josh Elliott cut him off to bro out over the flank steak he was searing. Check out the clip below.
