Because McDonald’s, the fast food chain (which has been slipping for years) that somehow can’t find the money to pay its workers a living wage, is the real hero in our national crises, don’t you think?
Anyone watching the Golden Globes last night probably stopped chewing, mouth agape (as we did) when we watched the latest McDonald’s campaign to make us eat Big Macs again. You know, by appealing to our patriotic, inspirational senses and letting us believe that hey, when sh*t in the world gets rough, McDonald’s is here for you! McDonald’s cares!
No one is Mc’Lovin’ or Mc’Havin’ any of it.
I really almost cried at that McDonalds commercial. And now I'm actually crying because I publicly admitted that.

Everyone is freaking out about the @McDonalds commercial. I don't get what the big deal is; they made a great ad that humanized a mega corp.

Ok, so some people loved it. But the rest of Twitter is angry!
Meanwhile, this McDonald's sign commercial is one of the most dystopian things I've ever seen

the golden globe for best drama goes to that mcdonald’s commercial with all the signs and the kids singing “carry on”

Maybe instead of making that horrifyingly cynical #GoldenGlobes commercial, McDonald's could pay employees a living wage? #ImNotLovingIt

This "Carry On" McDonalds commercial has a nice sentiment, too bad their product does damn well in stopping you from carrying on.

That @McDonalds commercial was so touching. I'll overlook their garbage quality food and start eating there because of that!

This cloying McDonald's commercial is terrible and obnoxious and who ever made it should be fed to pigs

Whether you love it or hate it, the @McDonalds commercial did its job. We’re all talking about it! #imlovinit
