WATCH: Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, And Jean-Georges Vongerichten Give Paul Bocuse An Enormous Birthday Cake

As if naming an entire teaching restaurant after him wasn’t enough, the Culinary Institute of America brought Paul Bocuse to speak on a panel with three of his prominent acolytes: Thomas Keller, Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and Daniel Boulud, all of whom had been involved with Bocuse and his historic restaurant empire at some point in their careers. In this three-part talk, they discuss the nature of culinary success, how the food world has changed since Bocuse began his career over sixty years ago (the man is 87!), and — to celebrate his birthday — how to cut an enormous, seven-foot-tall cake (at the end of the third video below, if you want to skip ahead.)
