Last night on ABC’s Nightline, one half of The Meatball Shop showed up on national television to give us a brief history of the humble ball of meat — and, after pulling a meatball Stephen Hawking, Daniel Holzman went on to explain why he’d started a restaurant that sold meatballs, and only meatballs. “There was something rude about how much people were charging for food,” he explained. “There was really great food for a lot of money, and not a lot of great food at an affordable price.”
