Whoa, A Legit Grinch Stole Some of French Laundry’s Best Wines on Christmas Day

You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch (and a drunk, too).

Thomas Keller announced on Twitter and Instagram that the French Laundry — which closed last week for renovations, to reopen soon — was the target of some serious wine thievery this Christmas. In fact, Eater reports, the estimated price of the 76 bottles stolen range from $3,250 to $7,950 on the French Landry’s wine list. Hoooo boy.

Only one man could every really understood how sh*tty of a situation it is, and that’s ol’ Julian Van Winkle — of the often looted, coveted Pappy Van Winkle bourbon.

So far the word’s been mum on whether these boozy Grinches have been caught, but Keller has asked for those with information to email the French Laundry with tips.
