Don’t worry Cherry Bombe, we know our invitation to attend the first-ever women-in-food jubilation got lost in the mail — we’ll forgive you. Especially when we can follow along on Twitter and still get a pang of inspiration and hope for the industry. (What a nice way to follow up a baller lady chef profile in The New York Times, no?)
Among the women lined up to speak at the weekend conference, hosted by the new lady chef publication, were Christina Tosi, April Bloomfield, Amanda Cohen, Kristen Kish, and Gabrielle Hamilton. Not to mention a closing keynote speech from Ruth Reichl. Uh, yeah — did you catch all that? That roundup of kick-ass women led to some excellent cherry bombs of truth exploding all over Twitter; some of those nuggets of wisdom:
